The Los Angeles Times is reporting that antibodies preventing HIV from causing severe AIDS have been discovered. Read story here The infamous Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California is credited with the discovery. The here">researchers wrote in the journal of Science that they have isolated two so-called broadly neutralizing antibodies that can block the action of many strains of HIV, the virus responsible for AIDS. Although this ins not a cure it is a tremendous advancement and road map to the eventual discovery of a cure. StayTuned.
